Celiese Lypka is a Métis scholar from Treaty 1 territory with a Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Calgary. Currently, she is a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Manitoba working on Métis literature; and her work also analyzes affective structures associated with race and gender through the twentieth and nineteenth century. In particular, she is interested in how feminine experiences are aligned with anxiety. Celiese has related projects that have been published in Rhizomes, Virginia Woolf MiscellanyDeleuze and the Schizoanalysis of Feminism (Bloomsbury, 2019), and forthcoming articles in English Studies Canada and The CEA Critic.
